You

What do I know that's worthwhile saying?
What do I do that's valid pointing out?
There's a way of swaying
Without ever coming out.

Out of the shell
I feel thrapped in.
However I do not have the strength
In my heart to break in.

Break into a foreign land
Where I don't feel fear
Or shame
Or desire to disappear.

Wait for me
Don't ingore my plea
For I need you there
For I don't belong anywhere.

Except in you.

Because it's legen-wait-for-it-dary!!!

There is a problem with thinking too much and not going with your instincts: you lose that spur of the moment experience that can be quite funny and uplifting.
So, it's important to go off-track and just have fun with no serious thought of any kind.
You end up laughing about the silliest, most incredible things ever!
I am usually silly in a constant basis but having other people I can be goofy with is amazing.
And, talking about silly and goofy, you might remember this man:D

Eggs... and apparats

There is a thing called Apparatjik.
They are a band. They are creative. They are crazy. They come up with great stuff for us to hear and see.
And they are about to release a track from their.... eggnest? ;-)

Now, the thing I am about to dive into is pretty superficial, since it's not about the content of the song itself. By the way, the track is called "Electric Eye".
The question is: Who's singing?
There has been speculation, people are divided on this matter and I think it will last for a while since these guys like to leave people thinking and guessing. It's their thing. They might be one of the least superficial bands I know. There are always hidden messages and mysteries. And that, my friends, is what makes them so interesting. Because they have something more, something on the surface that swallows us to the inside.

Well.....

There's one thing I'm proud to say in my favor on this superficial issue: I always take a second look.
I don't really base my notions and concepts on first impressions, as truthful as they might be. I try to see beyond that, because, let's face it, there's always a bad day, an exceptional day when people are moody, ugly and stupid. On the other hand, the opposite also applies. There's that one person that leaves you in awe the first time you see them but on second look, they are not that interesting.
I'll make my case with an example. How much did my perception of them change? A LOT!

That's right, I always LOVED Coldplay! Their music... there are no words to state how profoundly great they are but, straying to the less artistic side, we can't deny how better they've become on what comes to their looks.
They have always been like this though. They might get a haircut or change their clothes but they're the same. However, I discovered what a great bunch of people they are. 5 years ago, I would have said they were brilliant, musically, but I wouldn't even remember their faces (apart from Chris, unsurprisingly).
But then I properly took a look at them, watched and read many interviews and I don't have anything negative to say about them. I can only tell you how amazing they are ;) Intelligent, witty, nice and, well, very good-looking fellas!
So for all of this, I am glad I take a second look and get a second opinion to build my own.

Look twice, listen hundreds of times and love them as much as you want :)

Mr. Clooney

Hello there!
So in the pursuit of writing about superficial things, nothing better than an ad!
How can you avoid the outside aspect of things when you are confronted on a daily basis with these commercials that foucs on the bright side of material things?

I'm sure the coffee is great, the service at their stores brilliant, but let's face it: we all love the ads because of George! There's no point in denying it. And it's not just because he's one of the greatest actors, it's because he's charming, handsome and, overall, a treat to the eyes. So, next time you see this ad, remember how superficial you are!

Superficial

I don't mind being superficial and considered a futile person because I think that's exactly what I am. I read, I study and I'm in college. However, I do not deny my inner silly self.

If there is something wrong with that, then... oops:)

But this whole issue brings me something to think about: Aren't we all just a little bit shallow? It's hard to accept sometimes but our everyday lives are surrounded and revolve around small things and we spend our time dealing with them.

Everytime I wake up, I go to the bathroom and I look in the mirror (superficial thing no. 1).
I choose with aprehension my clothes for that day (superficial thing no. 2).
I look a few more times in the mirror to see if I'm half-decent (superficial thing no.3).

And this goes on and on throughout the day, without us noticing and realizing how obsessed we are with these trivial things. I don't want to diminish all bright minds out there but there's room for silliness and shallowness even in the greatest heads.

For that, I am thankful, for I am not alone!
